been so lazy to update my blog ever since i reached usa!
basically, the time difference is exactly 12 hours! so my day is your night, and vice versa! so be sure you know when to catch me!

so we finally reached martha's! the place where we are going to call "home" for the next 2 months. we met the guy in charged here, called mick! he told us all the SOPs here, and den we checked into our rooms. its a pretty nice room, with carpeted floor. 3 people to a room, so its trina, this other girl called melissa, and me. the guys stay somewhere else, cos they separate us! and its up this freaking slope, and it takes about 15 mins to walk there, so we hardly go there. weiming will usually come over to find us! haha.

we went to walmart to buy food to stock up! mainly got eggs, sausages, ham, bread, cereal, etc. walmart is freaking huge! ITS LIKE 100000000x OF NTUC?? ok not so much la, but you get it?? it has practically everything that you want or need! its 15 mins walk away from martha's! and its our favourite hangout place cos we almost go there everyday to shop. ben and jerry's is like 2.50 usd for a pint!!! so shiok rite! i think i will eat until im damn fat =((( there's starbucks ice cream too! and there's this other place called price right, which we havent gone. there's more stuff over there, like i think more asian food. going there on monday i hope!

last weekend we had no training, no work, nothing. so saturday we headed off to Boston! and we drove there! left hand drive was kinda scary!! we drove into the wrong lane, and we almost bang head on with another car but luckily he's not that fast. we also dint know how to pump petrol cos we had problems opening the petrol thingy, and pumping in the petrol. but we figured out ourselves soon enough. the drive there was about 3 hours, and when we reached there, we kept holland-ing cos the gps so cui! whenever we enter inside the tunnel, its gone! so we have to trust our instincts to drive around.

what did we do?!
we went to this place called quincy market, where they sell seafood and other interesting food! ate lobster, clam chowder, oysters, and bacon with scallop! its pretty expensive, but reasonably cheaper than the rest of the other places for seafood, according to lina! den on the second day, we went whale watching! the whales were so pretty as they were feeding themselves! the whales are those in the REALLY in the oceans one, not those in aquariums or tanks! and they were feeding the schools of fishes! really pretty sight! (: and i went to visit MIT and harvard university too! went to see harvard business school! really wish that i can study there as the school doesnt even look like a school, its like a place to relax!

on monday when we were back from boston, we had discovery, which is this orientation thingy and tour around the theme park. its kinda small, but so much bigger than escape theme park! and there's like so many roller coasters. they have a looney toons world too! im working at the foods dept!

tuesday, we went to the outlet malls to shop!! wow, its really freaking cheap there! at low prices, with more discounts! haha. i bought 2 pairs of shoes from nine west, 1 ol dress from kenneth cole, and 1 bag and 1 pouch from coach! awesome! (: i am not gng to shop until i get my pay!

and i had training yesterday. omg, i felt like sleeping when i saw the lecture notes and the videos. it was really draggy. then we also had cashier trng, cos most of us are going to be cashiers! and its my birthday too. sadly had to spent it on training =( anyways, it wasnt such a big hooha celebrating bday in usa, just that i have 36hours of bday. its so sweet of weiming, trina and melissa to get a little muffin cake for me! and i slept really early cos i had to work early today!

i worked at coldstone, which is this ice cream place inside! in actual coldstone, you can choose ur flavour of ice cream and toppings, and they will mix it up for you together! but here, its already pre-mixed, and so the customers cant get to choose. i reported to work at 10, and started making waffles into waffle cones and waffle bowls. den trina came along to be cashier, and i had my break. after that i had to relief for other ppl. so i worked cashier at dippin dots, cotton candy and coldstone itself. dippin dots was fun, cos the ice cream were really easy to scoop (: and cashier was really easy. cotton candy was not too bad too. little kids coming with their parents for popcorn or cotton candy! coldstone was great too, just that the ice cream was really hard like stone, and we needed lotsa strength to scoop it! trina was fantastic! she scooped it the whole day, im sure she will gain lotsa muscles (:

after working for a day, i feel so tired! tmr im gng to chicken chalet, and i heard that its really busy there. so ill pray hard! luckily im starting at 12, but all the way till 7pm! GOSH! im gng to watch 1 episode of amazing race, and go slp! SHAG!
